The Perfect Location: The Clisby Austin House in Tunnel Hill
The historic Clisby Austin House provided the perfect backdrop for this maternity session. With its beautiful grounds, mature trees, and timeless Southern charm, every corner offered a beautiful setting for documenting this season of anticipation.
The soft evening light paired beautifully with the property's historic character, creating images that feel both elegant and full of warmth.
A Dress Inspired by Pinterest
One of my favorite details from this session was Alexis' beautiful dress. Mama arrived wearing a light and airy floral gown that we found while looking through her Pinterest inspiration. It was the perfect choice for the location, flowing beautifully as she walked through the property and complementing the natural surroundings so well.
The soft floral pattern added a romantic touch while keeping the focus on the excitement and connection this family shares.
Big Brother's Big Adventure
While Mom and Dad focused on soaking in these last moments before baby brother arrives, their little boy had adventures of his own.
Like most one-year-olds, he was much more interested in exploring than posing. Throughout the session, he was completely fascinated by the grass beneath his feet and the black walnuts scattered around the property. Watching him investigate every new discovery added so much personality and authenticity to the images.
Those curious little moments are often my favorite part of family sessions because they capture children exactly as they are in this season of life.
Awaiting Baby Brother
As we wandered the grounds of the Clisby Austin House, it was impossible not to feel the excitement surrounding this growing family. Soon their family of three will become four, and these quiet moments of anticipation will become memories.
